Welcome!

Welcome to the Archives of the Diocese of Dodge City. The Archives houses the historic records of the Diocese of Dodge City and serves to preserve the history of the growth of the Catholic Church in southwest Kansas. The Archives is located in the chancery where materials are in a properly cared for environment. The Archives supports the larger mission of the Diocese through the following mission:

Mission

As the Diocese of Dodge City is called by our Lord Jesus Christ to be His Church and live His gospel, the Archives Office is called to be a responsible steward of Church records. The Archives provides a professional repository that identifies and collects, organizes and preserves, and provides access to all historically and canonically significant, non-current documents, artifacts and other works of enduring value pertaining to the operation of the Diocese, its parishes, agencies, institutions and people. The Archives makes available and extends its materials to researchers as permitted by canon law, civil law and conservation considerations.

Thank you for visiting the Archives of the Diocese of Dodge City. If you have items or information to add to the Archives, or are in search of something specific, please contact me.
